Last year our second graders planted a butterfly garden with native plants that will feed and attract butterflies to our garden. These plants are perennial meaning that they will come back year after year. They have outgrown their garden box and so a new bed has been made for them. Our second graders this year, will continue to weed and water these pollinators in addition to taking care of their garden box.

By the end of this week, all of our fall harvest will be planted. Thanks to our great PTO volunteer Mrs. Joice for helping with this task. We are all working hard to water the garden daily, pull weeds, and give the garden TLC to make sure our plants are surviving the heat. Hopefully cooler weather will come soon.
