First grade students will be learning about the parts of a plant. The root, stem, leaf, and flower have all been represented in our fall garden: Root- Radishes, Stem- Swiss Chard, Leaf- Romaine Lettuce, Flower- Daffodil bulbs. We learned that our Daffodil bulbs will sleep all winter in the soil and then bloom in the Spring. This will tell us it's time to plant our Spring garden.
